The Old Building
The preperation is a new excitng development as I am sure you are all aware. It began in 2010 and is scheduled to finish in 2016. We want to renovate current rooms in the old building like the MFL buildings and the Maths department too.
It is very exciting as it will be all fixed up and new. Despite the wait it should be worth it for the standards of the new building. This will have a posotive effect not only for the classes but also for the teaching staff here at Chestnut Grove Academy. This is due to the offices at the top of the old building (soon to be new building) The renovations of these offices will ensure a perfectly suitable yet relaxed area for the TA's to talk and eat lunch. The development will hopefully mean we can renovate some extra rooms for more classes as well as upgrade the current ones. It should also make the school look much nicer in apperance. We look forward to the fresh new external build it will look like.
The work
As you can see above current project work is underway to fix everything about the old building. We plan to strip it from the inside out, so that it will be completely new. This way we can can make a new start with in the new term when year 7 are welcomed. This will be so good for their development of the school as they will get to experiance almost every class.
